RSI Community provides comprehensive, individualized services and secure living options for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Whether someone needs 24-hour residential support, help building independent living skills, or daytime programming that fosters growth and connection, our team works alongside each individual and their family to find the right fit. Today, RSI supports more than 115 people and their families in Orange County, NC.
Consistent with all of our residential support offerings, we offer beautiful homes that support 4-6 individuals with a shared goal of helping each person achieve success. All people define success in their own terms.
Homes designed to provide the highest level of support with 24-hour supervision.
Homes established to accommodate the unique needs of individuals with autism.
RSI provides support and supervision to individuals living in their own home or apartment. Services may be daily or periodic, depending on the needs and desires of each individual.
Our Spring Glen retirement community opened in 2003 in a tranquil rural setting. It is a unique program recognized around NC for specializing in services for seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our Life Options program provides a diverse range of daytime activities to ensure the individuals we support lead fulfilling lives through learning, working, and playing. (Participation is currently limited to individuals living in one of RSI's residential programs.)
All individuals supported by RSI receive comprehensive healthcare and emotional support as part of their individualized support plan. RSI provides a robust 24/7 on-call system of support.
The true measure of our work is not in what we've built, but in the success achieved by the people we support. And that success takes many forms. For some, it's moving out of a childhood home or making a new friend. For others, it's finding a job, taking part in an art class, participating in a civic group, or giving back through volunteerism. For still others, success is simply being able to do what you want to do.
All people define success in their own terms.
We are not currently providing services to children, but we recognize that families benefit from planning ahead. If you have a child with IDD and believe you may want RSI to support them when they reach adulthood, we encourage you to connect with us now. Hearing from families early helps us plan thoughtfully for the future, and it means your family won't be starting from scratch when the time comes.
