Your Gift Matters

Thank you for your support this year.  Your kindness, generosity, and financial help have carried us through difficult times and strengthened the relationships between the people we serve and the staff who show up for them every day.  You’ve reminded us that we’re not doing this alone.

Earlier this year, we adopted our new name, RSI Community, to better reflect what has always been true about our work: we are a place of belonging, relationships, and support.  For those who have known us as Residential Services, Inc., this is simply a refreshed name.  We remain the same organization with the same purpose and commitment we have upheld for more than fifty years.

Each day, we see the impact of secure, relationship-based support in the lives of the people we support.   This may look like skill building, new experiences and friendships, or the comfort and stability of being surrounded by people who understand them.  Across this range of needs and abilities, we work to honor each person’s dignity, individuality, and humanity in ways that matter most to them.

This year has brought its own challenges.  North Carolina’s reimbursement rate cuts and widespread staffing shortages place significant pressure on disability providers, including RSI Community.  These realities make it harder to hire and retain the skilled employees our residents rely on.  Even so, we stay focused on shielding the people we support from feeling the direct effects of these system-wide strains.

To continue doing that, we are asking for your help in three areas:

  • Security Fund: Helps protect services and stabilize our programs during uncertain funding periods.
  • Employee Appreciation: Honors the extraordinary commitment of our staff and supports meaningful recognition throughout the year.
  • Workforce & Retention Initiatives: Strengthens recruitment, training, and long-term retention, which are essential for stable, relationship-based support.

Your support matters as much now as ever.  It helps us stay steady, look after our staff, and make sure the people we serve receive the consistency and excellence they deserve and depend on.

Thank you for standing with us and for being an essential part of our RSI Community family.

With gratitude,

Scott A. Keller
