Vocational and Learning Services (Day Services)

RSI offers year-round, social, recreational, vocational, and educational daily activities designed to enhance daily living skills, social interactions, and overall well-being through supportive and structured programs outside of the residential setting.

Our current services include:
Life Options
Life Options' Day Services, a dedicated program designed for individuals living in RSI's ICF-IID homes. We offer a comprehensive range of recreational, vocational, and therapeutic activities tailored to promote learning and community involvement. Our vocational activities aim to enhance skills and facilitate transitions to more independent vocational settings.

At Life Options, we actively collaborate with local businesses to provide janitorial services and trash/ recycling collection, fostering valuable partnerships within the community. Moreover, we encourage entrepreneurship through our Artist Co-op program and operate a snack shop that offers “on the go snacking.”

Our mission is to empower each individual to thrive through diverse opportunities, promoting personal growth and community enrichment.
CVLS
The CVLS (Community Vocational and Learning Services) program was established to offer support to individuals in RSI homes, especially when other options are scarce or unavailable. Committed to fostering inclusive engagement, we inspire and support individuals across a wide spectrum of pursuits, including paid work, volunteerism, education, recreation, and community involvement.

Our dedicated team provides janitorial services, ensuring cleanliness and order in various spaces. We actively engage in trash and recycling collection, contributing to a cleaner environment. Additionally, we demonstrate proficiency in maintaining attractive outdoor spaces through lawn and property care.

Together, we strive to build a community where everyone can participate, contribute, and succeed.
Golden Opportunities
This group focused on community service and integration after retirement.  Emphasis is placed on active, healthy lifestyles, community interests, learning and developing leisure skills and hobbies, and learning the unique self-care needs associated with aging.  Activities are structured to include both on-site and community opportunities.

Weiss Activity Center
The Weiss Activity Center opened in 2011 and provides a venue for recreational and social activities.  The building is home to the Hollister Gymnasium, a multi-sensory room, and an exercise area.  The Weiss Center hosts weekly yoga and Zumba classes, monthly birthday dances, and many other fitness and social activities.
