Autism

RSI’s Autism Department was created in recognition of the special service needs of persons with autism. RSI provides several homes that are highly-specialized to serve these unique needs.

Staff members in these programs often have previous experience with individuals with autism and are trained specifically on working with persons with autism.

To ensure that the most appropriate services are provided, RSI also coordinates with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped Children) program, an excellent resource here in our community.
