Competitive Salaries

RSI leads the market in base pay to employees.

Medical Insurance

Coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield for preventative medical care, maternity, prescription drugs, emergency treatment, mental health care and hospitalization. 

Vision Care Benefits

Vision care benefits are included with your BCBS medical insurance and additional discounts are available with the Doctors Vision Center Vision Plan.

Dental Insurance

Dental insurance through Kansas City Life promotes preventive care, paying for 100% (with no deductible) of preventive maintenance, including exams, x-rays, cleaning, etc. Basic services are covered at 80% of cost and major services are covered at 50%.

Group Life Insurance

Group Life / AD&D insurance is provided by Met Life. Coverage is free to all full-time employees. Additional amounts of life insurance can be purchased at excellent rates on self, spouses or dependents.

Guaranteed Student Loan Repayment

Assistance in repaying your Guaranteed Student Loan on a monthly basis.

Paid Time Off (Vacation & Sick)

Vacation time accrual is accelerated for years of service.

403 (b) Retirement Plan

A 403(b) tax-deferred annuity retirement plan is available for retirement savings. A 403 (b) plan allows employees to set aside a portion of their income for retirement on a pretax basis, thereby reducing federal and state income taxes.

Profit Sharing Retirement Account

Separate from the 403(b), RSI contributes money to a retirement account on the employee’s behalf.

Educational Leave

Eligible employees may convert sick leave to educational leave to compensate for educational activities.

Star Employee Program

Here at RSI, so many of our staff go above and beyond their job descriptions on a daily basis.  Through our ongoing Star Employee program, these employees are nominated by their peers and supervisors to receive recognition for outstanding contributions to RSI.

Direct Deposit of Paychecks:

RSI offers automatic deposit for employees who wish to have their paychecks deposited directly into their checking/savings account.

The Chapell Hill, Carrboro YMCA offers membership to RSI employees for as low as $5 per month.  Avis Worldwide provides RSI employees discounts on automobile rentals.  Liberty Mutual offers discounts on auto, homeowner, or renter's insurance.  Sun Trust and BB&T offer banking packages to RSI employees.

Travel Expense Reimbursements

Our employees are reimbursed for driving their personal vehicles for work-related purposes.

Pre-tax Flexible Spending Account

Medical and Dependent’s Daycare and other pay for out-of-pocket (not covered by insurance) expenses such as eyeglasses and contact lenses, insurance co-payments, prescriptions, chiropractic services, etc.

Experience gained through work at RSI is an excellent way to begin or further a career in the mental health field.  We offer career outplacement services to help employees continue in their career paths.

Our main office is located less then a mile from I-40, the main interstate linking Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.  Many of our homes are also in close proximity to many  local unversities, including UNC-Chapel Hill and North Carolina Central University.
